Parts Work Coaching

Parts Work Coaching is a transformative approach that helps you explore the different “parts” within yourself to achieve greater self-awareness, healing, and inner harmony. By acknowledging and integrating these parts, you can better understand your emotions, motivations, and behaviors, allowing for a connected relationship with your dog, yourself, and others.

How it works

1. Identifying Your Inner Parts

Uncover mental blocks you may be experiencing around your dog’s behavior, your role as a caregiver, and the state of your relationship. Discover your inner parts, determine which ones are in conflict, and when and how they show up in the relationship with your dog.

2. Healing Emotional Wounds

Work with the inner parts that carry frustration, fear, or limiting beliefs, and develop strategies for nurturing and healing them.

3. Highlighting Parallels

Use the parallels between our personal growth journey and the dog behavior modification process to build empathy and understanding.

4. Building Internal Harmony

Foster a compassionate dialogue between your different parts to resolve inner conflicts and create balance, so you can move forward with clarity and peace. Learn how to integrate these parts to stay resilient and motivated when faced with behavior challenges and relationship setbacks.

"Marissa’s talent for helping me gain insight into how I was getting in my own way was remarkable. Her coaching was like finding precious gems that I didn't know existed, and now I don't know how I lived without them. She helped me gain the confidence and clarity I needed to move forward with one of my most challenging professional projects!"

"Before my coaching session with Marissa, I was constantly overwhelmed by the pressure to be the "perfect" dog guardian, and it was really affecting my relationship with my dog. After working with her, I’ve gained valuable coping tools to manage those feelings when they come up. I’m thrilled to say I now feel more enlightened and have developed a profoundly meaningful connection with both my dog and myself. I highly recommend working with Marissa—she’s truly transformative and has made such a positive impact on my life!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching concentrates on the present and future, helping clients identify and work towards their goals, whereas, therapy is focused on diagnosing and treating mental health issues, often delving into past experiences to understand and resolve present issues. Marissa is trained to know when therapy may be a more appropriate modality for the client.

I am a trainer and behavior consultant. Should I start coaching?

Absolutely, becoming self-aware and embarking on a personal growth journey has been one of the many tools I use as a behavior consultant. Come learn about yourself through the relationship with your dog and bring that awareness and compassion to the work with your clients.
